Pointed napkins
These napkins are made from 100% pure cellulose. Also known as tissue paper.
The treatment that this type of napkins receive during the manufacturing process is called tip-tip sizing. And as the name suggests, a glue is used to join the two layers of paper coming from the parent reel.
First the two layers are separated, the glue is placed between them, and then they are joined together again. Once they are joined, they go through an embosser that has a texture of very close dots that, together with the glue, makes it more difficult to separate the two layers. This gives the napkin a higher quality image (as it seems to be a single layer of higher grammage) and also gives it greater drying capacity as it has more volume and thickness.
